當地時間10月20日，英國首相伊麗莎白·特拉斯發表辭職聲明，宣布辭去英國保守黨黨首職務。
辭去英國執政黨保守黨黨首職務後，特拉斯即自動卸任英國首相職務。現年47歲的伊麗莎白·特拉斯因此成為英國歷史上任期最短的首相，此時距離她9月6日正式就職僅過去45天。
