中國各地「白紙革命」抗議潮持續延燒，但中國官方尚未有正面回應，下一步會如何走？中國異議藝術家艾未未認為，此波示威不會動搖習近平政府，因為不僅會遭警方鎮壓，且示威本身也缺乏組織與領導。

艾未未接受《路透》專訪，認為抗議活動不會繼續下去，因為下一步就會遭警方鎮壓，且示威者本身沒有組織和領導，也沒有一個很明確的核心訴求，所以只要逮捕他們就很容易使行動結束。

艾未未也舉例，儘管是六四天安門事件或是香港反送中等擁有明確訴求的示威行動，甚至規模更大，仍然沒有使政府動搖。
